Our workforce is empowered to accept responsibility for planning and delivering their works. This approach provides end to end ownership of the work, minimises the number of operatives involved in delivering the work and hence helps create a positive relationship with residents whist the work is being carried out as access arrangements and any special requirements can be agreed between the operative and the resident.
The ASW Management Team
Anthony comes from a manufacturing background and has been with the company since 1999. He bought the company in 2006 and adopted lean manufacturing principles which helped drive the company’s continuing growth and efficiency. He has extensive experience of repairs and maintenance works in a wide range of sectors. Anthony is one of two board director of Cyfle, the South West Wales Shared Apprentice Scheme and is Chair of the Swansea Bay Construction Support Group.
Interests: Anthony enjoys fishing, motor boating and following Swansea City FC.
Ian James BSc Hons, MCIOB
Ian joined ASW following more than 30 years in the construction industry with major and regional construction companies. Ian looks after the support services within the company including health & safety, environmental, management systems, bid management and training. Ian is Vice Chair of the Swansea Bay Construction Support Group.
Interests: Ian is the Disability Officer for Premier League Swansea City FC.
Mathew Dalziel BSc Hons
Mathew joined ASW as commercial manager after a long career in a regional construction company. Mathew’s experience has helped drive wide ranging improvements to the company including the company’s bespoke property maintenance software.
Interests: Mathew is a FAW grass roots team leader coach for Camford AFC U8’s football team.
Paul Phillips HNC fd (cons)
Paul joined ASW from a Major Social Housing Provider in South Wales to manage the fast-growing Operations team at the company. A system thinking, positive, highly motivated Director with the passion, drive and enthusiasm to help formulate and achieve company targets. A professional, open, and approachable style of leadership Paul demonstrates his abilities to motivate and direct the work of others. A passionate very self-motivated and very flexible person who has vast experience in all aspects of Social Housing project management, construction management, business development and systems / processes. Paul brings a wide range of skills to the table and made some significant changes to drive greater efficiency and quality of ASW’s product. An award-winning natural leader who motivates his teams to deliver a high-quality service for our Clients
Interests: Paul is quite often seen around the country with a fishing rod of some sort in is hand, a vastly experienced angler of all styles of fishing which people find crazy as he throws them all back!!
