The recent installation of External Wall Insulation (EWI), roofing, and communal doors by ASW to the 5 blocks of flats has been excellent. Valleys to Coast work collaboratively in a partnership agreement with ASW to deliver our Housing Maintenance Contract to over 6000 homes across Bridgend, South Wales. Mobilisation of the contract was efficient which included elements of integration of their IT systems with our management software providing real time information. They provide a range of essential services which include reactive repairs, larger planned and disrepair works and void refurbishments which also include boiler and heating installations and electrical upgrades.
ASW are highly experienced in external and internal fire safety works and are completing fire remedial works to a number of our residential buildings. We are currently working with ASW on the installation of infrared heating with solar PV and potentially battery storage in a number of existing homes as a replacement to the natural gas fired central heating boilers together whilst also working on the installation of Intelligent Energy Systems.

ASW been successful on two large contacts well in excess of £1 million.
I have always found ASW to be professional, courteous, expedient, able to deal with variations and difficulties, and always providing input in a cooperative fashion.
The first contact involved the severe disruption to all of the residents in excess of 150, to install remedial fire compartmentation protection measures in compliance with Building Regulations Approved Document B within occupied residential flats. They were not the lowest bid but were selected by my client who were the Management Company because of their presentation and warranty.
The second contract related to substantial external fire safety cladding works, on a contract over £3 million in Birmingham and we are approximately half way through the contract. Again, I found ASW to be very competent and has a good knowledge of appropriate subcontractors who can assist with particularly difficult technical issues. They are cooperative, keen to assist, keen to ensure completion as quickly as possible and again in this contract, there has been an element of rehousing. The works are very noisy and dusty and consequently there is a high level of concern by the residents, which their site management team have dealt with very professionally.
I therefore have no hesitation in recommending ASW as a competent, suitable, considerable professional contractor.

In recent years, the ASW has undertaken several projects for the installation of external wall insulation together with new roofs, loft insulation, rainwater goods and other associated works on various properties throughout Swansea.
