Matthew Chancer, Group Leader – Maintenance Swansea Council

On behalf of Swansea Council’s Maintenance Service, I would like to formally thank you for your contribution to the General Builders Framework that has supported the delivery of our void properties programme over the past three years.

Throughout the duration of the framework, your organisation has played an important role in enabling the Council to return properties to a lettable standard, supporting the effective turnaround of void housing stock. This has been a critical area of service delivery, directly contributing to reducing the time properties remain vacant and assisting in meeting housing demand across the City.

We recognise that the delivery of void works presents several operational challenges, often requiring flexibility, responsiveness, and coordination with both Council teams and other stakeholders. Your continued engagement and commitment have been instrumental in maintaining progress and service resilience during this period.

The contribution made through this framework has supported the Council in improving availability of homes, which in turn plays an important role in addressing wider housing pressures, including homelessness and temporary accommodation demand. This is a significant outcome and one that reflects positively on the collective efforts of all partners involved.

We value the working relationships established through this framework and would welcome the opportunity to continue building on this collaboration in future procurement opportunities.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your professionalism, cooperation, and the support provided throughout the term of the framework. We hope that there will be further opportunities to work collaboratively in the future.
